JiuFen Old Street (九份老街)

On Day Four of our Taiwan trip, KB and I, together with his group of friends, went east-wards from Taipei City to Ruifang (瑞芳). From Home Hotel, we took metro from Taipei City Hall station to Taipei Main Station, where we took the express train to Ruifang station. Then, at the bus-stop just outside the train station, we waited for a bus to take us up to Jiufen (九份). The whole journey took us about 1.5 hours.

Jiufen Old Street (九份舊街) is located mid-way up the mountain and is a narrow street lined with many stores selling Taiwan snacks / small bites, souvenirs and handicrafts.

Refreshing drinks in giant baby feeding bottle

Taiwan sausages (台湾香肠)

A big basket of balls... not sure if they are fishballs, cuttlefish balls or meatballs.

Popiah ice-cream?

Cute handcrafted porcelain whistles

View at the end of the street

I'm highly suspicious that we didn't see the entire JiuFen Old Street, because I saw online photos of very nice buildings in this area and I haven't seen them in my trip here. But no one knew which direction to go, so we headed back to the entrance we came from.
