Atlantic City Boardwalk

We took a day-trip out to Atlantic City on Yankee Trails. With the existence of quite a number of casinos and hotels built in this town, it is like a mini Las Vegas. The bus dropped us at Tropicana Casino and Resort, and from there, we took a slow long stroll along the Boardwalk towards The Pier Shops at Caesars.

We were greeted by a bright and sunny day as we exit out from the casino.

Newspapers, anyone?

Enjoying the cool breeze as we walk towards the beach.

On the shore nearer to the sea, it is littered with plenty of seashells. Pity that most of them are broken. It took me quite awhile to finally find one that is still intact.

While strolling along the beach, we found this huge pipe leading out to the sea.

Since the city is built along the coast, seabirds are seen everywhere.

Located in the Kennedy Plaza, the Workers Memorial Monument was dedicated to "the men and women of organized labor who lost their lives while working on the redevelopment of Atlantic City".

Lined along the boardwalk are numerous shops and eating places.

Right at the back of The Pier Shops at Caesars shopping mall, a pier area that extends far out into the sea, offers a marvelous view of the waters and the coastal city view.
