Disney Adventure Cruise

We sailed on 16 to 19 March 2026, which was the third voyage of the very new Disney Adventure Cruise, home ported in Singapore!

We booked the Garden View room and the highlight for our trip was watching the shows at the Garden Stage from our room balcony. We watched Avengers Assembly twice! It was quite a nightmare for those standing among the huge crowd in the Imagination Garden during the 8.45pm show. Many parents carrying their younger kids throughout the 30 minutes, while the older (and too heavy to be carried) kids couldn't see the performance standing behind the adults. (Meanwhile, my little Miss 3 years old was walking back and forth between the balcony and the room.) By the way, people were reserving the "front row seat" as early as 1 hour before the show.

I only recorded the full show of "Let's Set Sail": https://youtu.be/ePFLIVPquRc

It was a nice trip because we love Disney, but also stressful and tiring for me, who was trying to make sure we can do as much activities as possible. In the end, I still missed the "Seas the Adventure" theatre show (which was only on day 1), didn't get a family photo with Captain Mickey and Baymax, didn't get to play Hiro Training in Big Hero Arcade, didn't get to eat the burger and kebab at the quick-service restaurants in Discovery Reef, and the list goes on.

To me, a cruise trip would be relaxing, slow-pace and does not require planning itinerary. However, Disney cruise is nothing like Genting’s Dream Cruise, which was literally a "pack the luggage and off we go" kind of a vacation. Perhaps because Disney was way more expensive and hence I carry the mindset of wanting to get the most out of it, or perhaps because I was really looking forward to the Disney experience. I did plenty of pre-trip homework, watching videos of other Disney ships, Disney cruise traditions, things to pack, etc.

Tips from me:
  1. Mark your online check-in date in your calendar and make sure you check in as soon as it opens, because the sooner you complete online check-in, the higher chance of getting the early port of arrival time. The opening time is 12 midnight Eastern Time, which is 12 hours behind SG Time (i.e. 12 noon) if it is Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) or 13 hours behind SG Time (i.e. 1 pm) if it is Eastern Standard Time (EST).
  2. Everywhere on the ship is least crowded before 3pm on embarkation day. Therefore, make good use of this period to do your top priority.
  3. The mandatory muster drill (is very important but) torturing. We need the handheld fans even though we were indoors (unless you are lucky enough to be comfortably seated in the theatre).
  4. Royal Gathering was available for booking when we were still at the port at 11 am. Character meet and greet bookings were released around 5 or 6 pm. Only noticed the rides bookings were already out on day 2 early morning.

There are already tons of information on social media and here are just a small list that I've put together (and I'm probably going to continue adding to the list... maybe until my post-Disney trip "depression" wears off... haha).
